Pizzas of the World

Whenever I travel somewhere new, I take it upon myself to conduct important research. There are just certain things that people want to know. As such, I take it upon myself to try the pizza in every country I’m in. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s like eating Styrofoam.

Almost everyone loves pizza. In fact, one funny travel story I have occurred while in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

I walked out of my hostel and saw a teenager sitting on a bench. Since I was waiting for my taxi, he started speaking to me in English. It turned out that he was at the hostel to apply for a position as a guide.

Naturally he asked where I was from and when I said that I was living in New York, he told me that he had been there in the past. I asked him what his favorite part of New York was and he immediately blurted out, “I love pizza!

I laughed and told him that he picked a good place to try it.

His exact response? “I never would have believed that something so delicious could exist.”

Pizza can make anyone smile.

And before you need to tell me that liking pizza doesn’t make me a foodie… Yea, no kidding. This entire post is tongue in cheek. So there’s no need to get on me for eating pizza everywhere I travel. Some people live for trying new foods. I, personally don’t. It’s really as simple as that.

Anyway, here you are. I bring you pizzas of the world.

This is a relatively new endeavor so I don’t have every city I’ve been to, or even every country, but I’ll get them some day. Like the oval shaped pizzas I found in Berlin. I never did figure out the purpose of their shape.
